About us

About us

The Felixstowe Methodist Church comprises four locations:
Kirton, Seaton Road, Trimley and Trinity.

We are now
“One Church – Four Locations”

A very warm welcome awaits you wherever you join us for fellowship or worship.

Our Minister, Rev Abe Konadu-Yiadom

Abe trained at The Queen’s Foundation Theological College in Birmingham. A social worker in her previous life, Abe spent over twenty years in the statutory and voluntary sectors, working for organisations such Diabetes UK and Citizens Advice.

Abe has been around a bit, serving churches in Water Orton (Warwickshire), Chelmsford, London Northwest Mission, Wesley’s Chapel as Leysian Missioner and recently, the Blackheath and Crystal Palace Circuit in southeast London.

In her spare time, Abe’s an avid fan of Coronation Street and Jane Austin! A practical theologian, her theology is deeply rooted in social justice, with a focus on the priority of the ‘Kingdom’ rather than the church.  Abe sees the church as a community for transformation,  and Holy Communion, a place of both remembrance and change.

Abe is mother to Matthew, who lives and works in London, and auntie to many!
